The engraving was painted by the British artist Allom in the late 1830s.

There are Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia Museum, German Fountain, Serpent Column, Milestone, Basilica Sanici and Obelisk around the mosque and square built by Ahmet.
The obelisk was built by Pharaoh III in the 15th century before Christ.
It was placed at the entrance of Amon Ra Temple by Thutmosis and took its place in Sultan Ahmet Square in the 4th century.
